Central to the religious life of the school is the person of Jesus Christ who came among us ‘as one who serves’ (Luke 22.27). Our Catholic school is committed to reaching out to help those in need, through charitable outreach initiatives. All outreach activities connect to the person of Jesus Christ and to the sacraments, especially the Eucharist. Drawing on the Catholic Social Teaching of the Church, we have a deep commitment to supporting a range of charitable organisations, families and individuals in need.
At Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Primary School Sefton we strive to support those in need for it is ‘In Giving We Receive’.
In the spirit of generosity and outreach, our students are involved with Mini Vinnies, The Pope Francis Award and support of Caritas.
Our parents are involved in outreach initiatives supported by the school with St Vincent De Paul Society. These initiatives include Night Patrol, Vinnies Winter Appeal and sandwich making for the homeless. We also support Church initiatives such as Charitable Works Fund and Catholic Care ‘Gift of Goodness’ Christmas Appeal.
