History
our history

Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Primary School was established in 1948 by the Sisters of St. Joseph. The school opened in the church hall with 48 students. As the local population increased, so to did the enrolments in the school. The sisters continued to teach in the school until 1982 when the first lay principal was appointed.

Since 2003, Immaculate Heart of Mary has had extensive redevelopment of the buildings and grounds to ensure modern and contemporary learning facilities for the students in our community.

Charism

Inspired by the traditions of the Sisters of St Joseph and the Oblate Fathers of Mary Immaculate, our school has a strong devotion to Mary our Mother. Our school motto ‘In Giving We Receive’ inspires us to take action and make a difference in the lives of others.
